Physiological Computing

With increasing accuracy and miniaturisation of sensors, it is becoming possible to devise systems that map our bodies state. Our current "I'm doing this to that" model of using a computer might have to change. What happens when humans connect with the computer at a deeper psychological level, blurring the distinction between doing something to achieve a goal (trackpad, keyboard, screen, windows, etc.) and being something to have an effect?
